Managing Discrimination in Berks & Bucks

Managing Discrimination Allegations

We've created a new online resource to support the grassroots football community in managing allegations of discrimination.

Berks & Bucks FA has created a new online resource to support the grassroots football community manage allegations of discrimination.

The new e-book provides detailed guidance for Clubs and referees around how to report incidents of discrimination and support their players through the disciplinary process. The resource forms part of our wider strategy to combat discrimination of all forms and provide greater support to victims of discrimination.

Liz Verrall, Chief Executive Officer at Berks & Bucks FA, said: “I am proud of the strategy we have created, which combines greater resources for tackling discrimination and support for victims with a renewed focus on increasing inclusion and representation across the game.

"This guide forms part of our strategy and will hopefully raise awareness of reporting routes and the disciplinary processes in place to investigate and tackle discrimination. There is no quick solution or magic bullet that will eradicate discrimination from football, but we believe that by taking a holistic view we can have a greater impact both on and off the pitch.”

The guide is available on our website and will be shared with Clubs and victims of discrimination directly should an allegation be reported.
