Rules of The FA WPL

Refereeing Support

With approximately 1000 referees registered annually, our priority is to support, protect and develop our referees to be the best they can be.

100 qualified mentors operate within Berks & Bucks FA to support all referees. Whether this be as a trainee referee or a referee progressing into officiating adult football then they are here to support you.

Considered becoming a referee mentor?

An individual can qualify as a mentor, subject to a safeguarding children workshop, a Criminal Record Check and attendance on a Referee Developer Course. Completing the above will qualify them as a mentor and will be paid the mentor fee to support Berks & Bucks FA Referees.

Safeguarding Recertification Online

Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.

Recognising the important role you play in football, safeguarding training and awareness must be updated every three years. Those who have previously attended a Safeguarding Children Workshop will be able to take the free online recertification course. Instructions on how to access this are available below!

Help keep football safe, not sorry.
