Celebrating Referees

We visited every Referee Association in our region in January to celebrate success

As part of our promise to work more closely with local Referee Associations (RAs) and societies, our team visit every RA in January.

As part of these visits, we have been inviting newly qualified referees who have completed the course, and their 5 training games, to receive their qualification certificate and county badge at their local RA, at Referee Celebration evenings.

Referees have also been invited to stay, listen to the guest speakers on the night, which has ranged from the Premier Leagues Graham Scott, Football leagues John Busby, our referee training officer Minesh Gupta and referee Developer, Steve Worsley.

We have had some really great interaction with the new referees that have been invited, along with current RA members, and we look to build on this partnership in future months, increasing local RA numbers.

Long Service Awards

Alongside the Referee Celebration evenings, we have also been recognising referees that have provided a number of years service to refereeing.
