Updated County Referee Badges

County FA Referee badge updated in line with organisation logo

Over the past 18 months, we have consulted referees to gain their opinion on the Referee Badge.

After reviewing responses and liaising with the BBFA Referee Development Network, it was agreed that the Referee Badge would be updated to align with the current County FA logo, used across the organisation. In addition, with The FA Refereeing Department also updating the national FA Referee badge, our Referee Development Network felt it would be a good time to move forward with the update of the county badge.

As a result we are pleased to confirm that the new badge, which is a full-colour, iron-on embroidered patch, has now been produced and we are working to distribute these to our Referee workforce.

New Referee Badges

We have prioritised delivery of the new badges to Referees who purchased a badge either last season or this season. These have been posted directly to members - if you have yet to receive a badge and believe you should have done, please contact us

Moving forward, Trainee Referees that complete their first 5 games will receive a Certification and BBFA badge on selected Referee Celebration evenings.

For all other County FA registered Referees who wish to update their badge, these can be purchased at the start of the season via the Whole Game System at a cost of £10 per badge including delivery. Please note, for referees who have the old County FA badge, these are still eligible to be worn but will not be available for purchase moving forward.

Alternatively, if you would like to update your badge sooner, please contact us to arrange purchase and delivery.
