Volunteers kick off your season

Volunteers

Volunteers are vital to grassroots football.

Grassroots football depends on volunteers, without the time, dedication and commitment of our volunteers each week, clubs and leagues would simply not exist.

Behind every grassroots football match is an army of volunteers making it happen. In far too many cases, we rely on a few to take on a number of positions, this sometimes can lead to an over-reliance and burn-out.  If you're in this position get in touch with us for advice and support to break down tasks and recruit more help.

A variety of roles are available within grassroots football, ranging from on-the-pitch coaching and referees, to behind the scene roles such as secretary, Chairperson, Welfare Officer, communications

Safeguarding and Welfare

SAFEGUARDING IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY

Whatever your involvement in football, you have a responsibility to make our game as safe and enjoyable as possible for everyone.

This is particularly true if your role as a volunteer involves working or being with children and young people under the age of 18.

Find out how The FA and Berks & Bucks FA manages safeguarding nationally and locally. You’ll also find detailed information on the game’s safeguarding strategy, and how it applies to you.
