Meet your Disability Football Ambassadors

Ahmar and Dan have joined the Berks & Bucks FA team!

We are delighted to introduce our Disability Football Ambassadors, Ahmar Mukhtar and Daniel Rook.

They will be responsible for driving 2 and 3-star England Accredited Clubs to apply the key learnings from the Disability Club Training to create their own Disability Football Game Plan; creating more club-based accessible opportunities for disabled people to play, coach and/or volunteer.

On his appointment to the role of Disability Football Ambassador for Buckinghamshire, Ahmar said: "I am honoured to been given the job of Disability Football Ambassador in Buckinghamshire by BBFA. I am really passionate for the growth of Disability Football and will support local clubs in my area to provide provision for children/adults to take in the beautiful game without any barriers."

A little bit about yourself: I have been involved in disability sport for over 12 years holding various positions in my home County of Essex. I have been the disability led for Reading FC Community Trust for 8 years where I have worked across Berkshire increasing the number of opportunities for disabled people to play football. I also work very close with the BBFA on coach education when it comes to disability football.

How you can support: I believe that with my experience in disability sport I can help drive change in Berkshire in helping the BBFA develop disability football across the County.
