To mark International Women’s Day 2024, Berks & Bucks FA are hosting an event to celebrate. The event will be on IWD itself, Friday 8th March, 6:15pm-9pm at the Select Car Leasing Stadium (Reading FC). 

International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

We will be encouraging females across BBFA to attend with the evening being a celebration of female’s achievements plus the opportunity to network and engage and to talk about some of the barriers females face in the game.

We will also be joined our special guest Nicole Farley who is an Academy Coach at West Ham United and Caroline Herman & Leanne Whittaker from All Yours Period Box.

6:15pm - Welcome/Introduction & What is IWD? 
6:30pm - Workshop #1- “How do we attract more Females into Game?” 
7:00pm - Break - Food served & opportunities to network
7:40pm - Workshop #2- “Women’s Health; Period Support Package”
8:00pm - Nicole’s Journey 
8:45pm - Overview and Close

The event is free to attend and we will provide food and drinks on the evening. With over 40 booked onto the event already, it will be a great opportunity to engage with females from across Berk & Bucks and to celebrate IWD.
