Minesh Gupta joined Berks & Bucks FA in September 2023 as our Referee Training Officer; a brand new role for the organisation.

In this role, Minesh will be mainly responsible for the delivery of our Referee Courses and for providing a more structured training and mentoring support pathway for Referees looking to develop, especially those in the early stages of their careers (post course), to help them navigate their journey as an official.

On his appointment Minesh said “I want to add value in every way possible in such an important piece of work around the Development & Retention of Referees and to meet the important objectives set locally & nationally and work with internal and external partners for successful outcomes."

Minesh has been a Football Referee for over 25 years and currently a Level 3 Referee & Referee Coach both in the Men's & Women’s game. Minesh has been a Referee Developer for almost seven years and has delivered courses across the country. He has a wealth of experience within Grassroots Football around other area’s of the game too which will help in all aspects of his role.

He is passionate about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and represents the FA as an EDI Ambassador to strengthen the connection between the FA and local communities. Minesh was presented with a Referee Diversity Champion 2023 honour, in recognition of his on-going work around Diversifying Refereeing.
