Sandhurst Town Boys & Girls are a Charter Standard Community Youth Club with 45 teams across all youth age groups. As a club they have a desire to provide more opportunities for Girls to play football in local area and applied to become a SSE Wildcats provider to help them achieve this goal. The Sandhurst Town Boys & Girls SSE Wildcat’s Centre has over 30 girls aged 5-11 attending and enjoying sessions each week.

Sandhurst Town Boys & Girls have also successfully applied for a Football Foundation Grow the Game Grant to support the creation of new Girls’ teams in the upcoming years to give even more opportunities for Girls to play in Sandhurst.

Sandhurst Town Boys & Girls Football Club have worked hard to ensure that sessions are fun for the children and have worked hard with parents to show the benefits of football for their daughters and that it is safe and fun environment. Working with the parents has been key to the success as many parents are “new” to football themselves and they have educated the parents to enthuse them to bring players back to sessions.

The club has also utilised girls from their U13/14 side to act as role models and support sessions.

They have also used the funds provided to purchase Branded tops for the girls to make them feel a part of the Sandhurst Town boys and girls family.
