In the lead-up to the new grassroots football season, we are looking for clubs, facilities or organisations to register as drop-off hubs for our Footwear and Kit Drive. These hubs will be where drop-offs can be made for footwear and kit that are no longer needed.
The aim is to have multiple hubs dotted across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and the Vale of the White Horse to increase the accessibility and engagement of the scheme. The donated items can then be used locally within the club and community or contribute towards projects run by the County FA.
We are working on some exciting community inclusion projects and one of the main barriers to participation is often participants not having the correct footwear or clothing. The projects we are working on require donations of items across all ages and genders.
As a drop-off hub, we will provide an assets pack that includes the list of items we accept, social media assets, posters and a press release that the club can use to help encourage donations. We will also include your drop-off Hub location details in the communications we send out to clubs and communities.
As part of the registration process, we require the days and times to be outlined that donations can be made, it could also be focused on only a specific date or week to prompt action. Or there could even be a dedicated game or event that encourages players and spectators to bring donations.
To register as a drop-off Hub, please complete the below application form. We will accept locations on a rolling basis but will launch the drive in early September, so we suggest completing the application as soon as possible.
