Fourteen U8 teams participated in our very first U8 futsal event at Bohunt School (Wokingham) on Sunday 16th December.  

The aim of the event was to introduce U8 players, teams and their coaches & managers to experience futsal for the very first time and to offer an exit route of a sustainable futsal provision for next season. The Berkshire Youth Futsal League currently run provisions for U9, U11 and U13s with weekly fixtures season long. Across the day we ran 21 fixtures of 12 min friendly futsal fixtures. 

In previous years we have supported & developed youth futsal from U10s through to U16s of which we run a County event that offers a competitive pathway into the FA National Youth Futsal Finals. 

The development on U8 provisions across the county will support the playing pathway and engage with younger players into futsal whilst also supporting coaches increased education on the game of futsal.
