Berks & Bucks FA delivered our first ever Female Coaches Conference on Sunday 13th August at Reading FC. 

The Conference offered opportunity for female coaches across the county to come together and be part of 2 CPD sessions and a keynote speech and the coaches who attended were not disappointed. 

The Conference started with a delivery of the first practical CPD session titled “Effective Communication & Relationships” This workshop looked at ways coaches can confidently communicate with individuals and teams to get their across clearly and appropriately to create the desired impact both on and off the pitch.

After some lunch, we were joined by keynote speaker, Assistant Head of Coaching at QPR, Manisha Tailor MBE. Manisha shared her experiences in her life and her journey in football in a brilliant and inspiring session which was capped off by each attendee receiving a signed copy of Manisha’s recent book “Dream Like Me”.

The final part of the day saw second practical CPD session, “Skills & Tactics Understanding”. The session provided ways coaches can identify players strengths and how coaches can support development of players linked to the understanding and execution of tactics.

The Conference was led by FA Regional Coach Development Officer for Women & Girls, Vicky Fisher, she said: “It was great to welcome such an enthusiastic and energetic group to the first ever Berks & Bucks Female Coaches Conference. The day was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other coaches, build confidence, take away some new ideas along with asking any questions, it was a great way to round off a successful season of events which has seen the BBFA Female Coaches Community continue to grow!”
