Berks & Bucks FA are pleased to announce this season’s Coaches Conference will take place on Saturday 9th June 2018 at Reading FC. 

The theme this season for the conference will be the Foundation Phase from the FA’s England DNA.

Tutors include:

• Pete Sturgess- FA Technical Lead for players aged 5-11

• Mark Rivers– County Coach Developer (Berks & Bucks), The FA

• Peter Augustine- County Coach Developer (Surrey), The FA

Guest Speaker

We're delighted to confirm that Reading FC First Team Coach, Michael Gilkes, will be joining us at the event as our special guest speaker.

Gilkes started his playing career in 1984 with Reading and played nearly 400 games for the club before moving onto Wolves, Millwall and Slough Town. Since retiring from playing, Gilkes has coached at Hungerford Town, Basingstoke Town & Reading FC Academy where he coached alongside Assistant Academy Manager David Dodds in the U18s age group, He took charge of the Under 23s in the opening stages of the 2017/18 campaign before becoming First-Team coach with the Royals in September 2017.

Attendees will have the chance to pose questions to Michael in the afternoon of the Conference. 
The conference will accredit all FA qualified coaches (Levels 1 to 5) with 5 hours CPD for the 2017-18 season. The event only costs £20.00, including lunch and refreshments.
