Position: Berks & Bucks FA – Grassroots Football Director
Location: Our office is based in Abingdon (OX143 1SG) most of the role can be conducted remotely,
although meetings are currently face to face.

Salary: This is a voluntary position; reasonable expenses will be paid in line with our policy.
Hours: 
It is expected that this role will require, on average 5-10 hours per month.


The opportunity


We are looking for an individual with passion, experience and dedication towards for the game to be our Director for Grassroots Football. The role is fundamental in ensuring that the views and opinions of football and the membership are collated and considered at board level, informing and influencing our decision making at Board level. Our Grassroots Football Director will have the opportunity to leave a real legacy on local football across the county.

The successful candidate will be an excellent chair as will be responsible for chairing the Grassroots Football Board (made up of volunteers from each of our working groups) and will be able to engage, include and encourage from across the Football community in Berks & Bucks.

Main responsibilities 

Serve as a Director of the Association, executing the responsibilities of a Director in accordance with the Companies Act and other relevant legislation.
• Lead and chair the Grassroots Football Board made up of volunteer representatives of our grassroots football community.
• Represent the views of community football at Board of Director meetings.
• Actively contribute to constructive debate and discussions across all board/business matters.

A genuine and reliable person who works with dedication and creatively to achieve the goals of the Association. An individual who is skilled at listening to the views of others and encouraging debate and discussion. We are looking for someone with excellent inter-personal skills and an ability to influence at a senior level. We are looking for someone who is dedicated and experienced at working with volunteers and has knowledge of grassroots football.
