Talking Tactics in May 2020

Guest speaker, Manisha Taylor MBE, joins us live online on Friday 1st May at 7pm

Talking Tactics online with guest speaker Manisha Taylor MBE

Talking Tactics was developed by Berks & Bucks FA, in partnership with Reading FC Community Trust, to try and help end the stigma surrounding Mental Health and promote everyone’s wellbeing through the power of football.

Over the last weeks and in the many to come our mental wellbeing has, and will continue to be, vitally important to be aware of and look after. That's why, in line with the Government’s recommendations around small gatherings we have suspended our monthly face-to-face meetings, but are continuing to provide our Talking Tactics programme in a new online format.

Joining us as Guest Speaker will be Manisha Tailor MBE. Manisha is currently coaching in the professional game and will share her twin brothers story, who due to a series of traumatic events and long term bullying, suffers from mental illness, requires 1:1 care at home and has been non-verbal for 15 years.

Manisha will also share her views on the importance of exploring mental health with young people, the impact of trauma and the taboo in BAME communities.
