This season we introduced four new County Cup Competitions; recognising the growing popularity of different formats of the game across our regions. 

The new competitions have provided additional opportunities for participants involved in Disability Football, Futsal, Veterans and Walking Football, to compete against other teams and experience tournament football, some for the first time, whilst also offering the chance for clubs to win some silverware and a place in the history books as inaugural winners the competitions.


Disability County Cup

The first of these Competitions was the Adult Disability County Cup whihc ran in February at Tilsley Park in Abingdon. As an invitation Cup, this competition was open to Adult teams from the Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Inclusion (BOBi) League. With competitions available for teams from the Championship, League and Conference Divisions, we saw 19 teams overall compete for county honours. This included teams from the Mental Health League who were invited to participate in the Championship Cup.

A Youth Disability County Cup will take place in June and will be open to teams in the Under 16 and Under 12 Divisions of the BOBi League. Further details of this will be sent to all eligible U12 and U16 Disability teams.


Futsal County Cup

Our new Futsal County Cups took place across eight different competitions, including; U10, U12, U14 U16 Boys and U10, U12, U14 & U16 Girls. The Girls' Finalists were decided by the winners of the Berkshire Girls League and Bucks Girls League Futsal Winter Provision, whilst the Boys played a pre-qualifier in February at Bohunt School in Milton Keynes to make it through to the Finals which were held in Reading earlier this month. The winners of the pre-qualifying events were also entered into the National FA Futsal Cup.

Veterans County Cup

The Veterans Cup was open to any affiliated Veterans team. Run as a traditional Cup Competition, fixture weekends have been held throughout the season and will culminate in a Final which will be held in May where our first Veterans County Cup Winners crowned.

Walking Football County Cup

Finally, our Walking Football County Cup will be held in July and will be open to any Walking Football team currently playing Walking Football sessions across the County.
