FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the Disability Talent Pathway

Berks & Bucks FA, in partnership with Oxfordshire FA, run an annual England Talent Day. Players who believe they are eligible to enter the Disability Talent Pathway should attend this event.

FA England Talent Days are the recognised first selective environment in the Disability Talent Pathway. The England Talent Day will identify and signpost players to the ‘right’ environment at that point in time.

England Talent Days are aimed at players with a disability between the ages of 7 to 16 years old. All players need to have one of the following impairments to be eligible; Deaf, Blind, Cerebral Palsy, Amputee or Partially Sighted.

There is a formal eligibility criteria for each specific impairment group which you can find in the additional documents.

Unfortunately, the Saturday 30th May England Talent Day has been postponed. We are currently working with Reading FC to find a new date for this event. All parties are still committed to host this event at the Madejski Stadium in Reading. Please complete the online Expression of Interest form to be among the first to receive all updated information. To receive updates on the event please complete by the online registration form, by clicking here.

These sessions will be led by fully qualified coaches but will be much like your regular training sessions.

A member of the England Talent Team will also be in attendance to identify players to access the Disability Talent Pathway. Players are asked to simply enjoy the event and play their natural game.

Players can just turn up on the day but it is highly recommended registering for this event. By doing this you will receive all the pre-event vital information and by made aware of any changes related to this event.
