Join the Networks
At Berks & Bucks FA we continue to strive to make football a game For All and highlight the potential it has to Connect People and Change Lives. In order to spread this vision, we need to widen our interactions and engage more when making key long-term decisions.
Following a comprehensive organisational review, a new group of Networks was introduced in 2022 headed up by an overarching Grassroots Football Board (GFB). The aim for the Network groups was to bring together a range of diverse voices, with representation from across the County, of skilled and passionate individuals with a motivation to improve grassroots football. Each of the networks covers a specific area of the game. The Network groups provide a platform for individuals to put forward ideas, check and challenge on performance, as well be involved in future decision-making.
Over the first season we have established seven network groups, each of which has representation on the Grassroots Football Board. We have recruited our first every Grassroots Football Director, who chairs the GFB and is also on the Board of Directors. The Network groups have each identified clear priorities for their area, have begun to connect and consult with key stakeholders, affected change within our Business Strategy and continually check and challenge the organisations performance.
This is just the start and we want more individuals to be a part of it.
For the 23/24 season we will be introducing two new Network Groups into the structure, and also be recruiting additional members into our existing Networks. This is to ensure that we continue to provide opportunities and attract the best calibre of individuals into the organisation.
The following Networks are recruiting for new members;
- Male Football Network
- Female Football Network
- Coaches Network
- Volunteers Network
- Football Facilities Network
- League Representatives Network (must be an existing League Committee Member)
- Youth Network (for those aged 14 to 24)
- County Cup Working Group
All roles within the Network are voluntary, but expenses will be available. Individuals must be available for 2-4 meetings per season. For further details on each of the Network Groups, please see Terms of References below:
