County Cup Final Appointments 2022/23
With a break in our County Cup Finals season following the Easter Holidays, we are taking a look back at the last few weeks and celebrating the appointments of the match officials whose hard work and dedication to officiating in County Cup fixtures has seen them appointed to this season's Finals.
Nick Phipps, a Level 5 Referee from Slough was appointed to the U16 Youth Cup Final. Of the occasion, Nick said: "It was an honour to referee the U16 Youth Cup Final and enjoyed the day immensely, from the pre-match with the county officials and refereeing team to the superbly contested action on the pitch with two sets of talented players and a thrilling penalty shoot-out victory to Cookham Dean.
"Newport Pagnell Town were a credit to themselves and was a shame that one team had to lose in the cruellest of ways but both clubs conducted themselves with distinction and complete respect to this most prestigious of cup finals. Thanks to Chris and all the County FA team for putting on a superb event and hope the travelling support enjoyed their day out.
Receiving a County Cup Final appointment is a great achievement and something to be incredibly proud of. It is reflective of the hard work and dedication that match officials across our region give to their local game.
We would like to congratulate all our match officials who have been appointed to games this season so far and wish those with games still to come the very best of luck in their fixtures and hope they enjoy the occasion.
