County Cups
Please be advised of the process for Berks & Bucks FA County Cup appointments for the 22/23 season.
If you are appointed to a County Cup fixture, this will take precedence over any other fixture you have on that day, even if you were appointed to the other game first. The only exception to this is if you are appointed by the Premier League or Football Association.
We are keen for as many officials as possible to be involved in the County Cup this season, and will try and keep you to matches within 10 miles of your address to ensure that games are local which will hopefully aid the appointments process.
Our Competitions Officer, Chris Penny, will be in touch during the summer with details of how referees can log their availability for September fixtures.
Referee Insurance
For referees who wish to take out personal accident insurance with Bluefin, it is an additional £5.00 for the season.
Please see the attached policy document to see what is covered. You will be able to select the insurance as an additional product during the affiliation application.

Should you have any questions regarding the insurance, please direct these to Bluefin Insurance directly.
Safeguarding
All referees need to have completed a ‘Safeguarding For All’ course, or preferably a ‘Safeguarding Children Course’ within the last two years. For most of you, you probably completed this at the affiliation stage last year. You can find these courses below:

If you wish to register to referee games in Under 18 football, you will need an enhanced DBS check completed through the FA within the last three years. If you haven’t got a current check or yours is due to expire shortly, or during the season, you need to complete the process again.
