We are delighted to welcome Emma O'Hara to the Berks & Bucks FA team.

Emma joins Berks & Bucks FA as the Community & Inclusion Officer and will work closely with the team internally as well as with member clubs, leagues and the wider football community.

Sport has always played a large part in Emma’s life. She played a lot of team sports while growing up before focusing on throwing the hammer which lead to her receiving a scholarship to study in the USA and compete internationally for Ireland. Since graduating from the University of Maryland in 2018, Emma completed a Masters in Marketing Management at the University of Southampton and worked as Sports Coordinator at Oxford Brookes University for two years, where she coordinated the entire student sport programme.

On her appointment, Emma said; “I’m very excited to join the Berks & Bucks FA and looking forward to using football as a way to connect communities across the area. 

"Sport has done so much for me personally and I want to ensure sporting spaces are as inclusive and welcoming as possible so everyone can enjoy the same positive experience.” 

In her role, Emma is responsible for the organisations community engagement programme, helping to make a difference in people's lives through the power of football. She will also lead the organisations wider Inclusion work.
