Steve Smithies: My journey to CEO

Every County FA across the country has had to adapt to a new set of challenges during the COVID crisis, and new Cheshire FA CEO Steve Smithies is now the man responsible for leading his county forward.

During Black History Month 2021, England Football Learning sat down with Steve and reflected on his journey in the game and how each stage of his career has prepared him for his latest challenge as CEO.

As the grassroots game slowly gets back to normal and players and coaches alike get stuck in to the new season, this session will be a great opportunity to take stock of where we are now, and what we need to do next to support everyone involved in football.
