We are delighted to announce that Chris Penny has been appointed as the new Competitions Officer for Berks & Bucks FA.

Chris has been part of the Berks & Bucks FA team since 2018 when he joined the organisation as Football Investigations Officer. Having spent three years in the role, Chris is now looking forward to working with our member Clubs and Leagues in his new capacity as Competitions Officer. 

On his appointment to his new role, Chris said; "I am looking forward to getting involved with the competitions that are already running and setting up this year’s Finals. A County Cup Final doesn’t come along very often for most players or officials and I look forward to working with the local officials, clubs and leagues to provide a memorable Finals experience for all concerned."

Chris has a long history of working in football generally, having spent over 30 years in grassroots football as player, manager, coach and referee. He brings with him experience in all levels of the game from Sunday morning grassroots football to semi-professional leagues and professional pro clubs' community and development centres. It is this all round experience, as well as his existing knowledge and experience of football across the County, that Chris is looking to bring to his new position. 

In his role, Chris will be responsible for coordinating the County FA’s diverse programme of County Cup competitions as well as providing support to sanctioned Leagues and Club competitions across the football areas of Berkshire & Buckinghamshire.
