Veterans Football, often referred to as Vets Football, is a vital part of the full player pathway for adults and offers a continued 11v11 competition structure for players aged 35 and over. 

Within Berks & Bucks, Vets Football is very active with 53 affiliated teams. To further promote these teams and make it easier than ever to get involved, we are delighted to release the first ever BBFA Club Directory for Veterans Football.



Often Vets Football can go under the radar with many players hanging up their football boots far too early. By creating this directory we are hoping to showcase the many opportunities to stay in the game when the decision comes to stop playing open aged football. The directory maps where all our affiliated Vets Football teams are located and includes the Club Secretaries contact email address to help prospective players find their way to start playing over 35’s football.

Football Development Officer, Jonathan Coles, said: “The creation of this Club Directory will help promote the fantastic work all of our Vets Teams are doing and make it easier than ever for new players to get involved. 

“The competition structure for Vets Football is very active with two strong provisions in the Milton Keynes Vets League and Hellenic Vets League and we have plans to further development our Vets Football Competition coverage with a new East Berks and South Bucks competition”.

To get involved in Veterans Football please contact your local club to get invited to an upcoming training session or game. 

Alternatively, if your club is interested in starting a new Vets Football provision then they may be no better time to start than now. The Snickers Protein Just Play Programme has just reopened for new applications and this support could be a great boost to starting a successful new 35+ session.
