Welcome, Graham!

We welcome Graham Fisher, Designated Safeguarding Officer, to the team.

We are delighted to welcome Graham Fisher to the Berks & Bucks FA team.

Graham joins Berks & Bucks FA as the County FA's Designated Safeguarding Officer and will work closely with the team internally as well as with member clubs, leagues and the wider football family.

Graham has played, coached and managed in grassroots football for more years than he cares to remember! He joins Berks & Bucks FA after a 26 year career in the police service, a majority of which spent in the area of child abuse investigation and adults at risk and, the last four years as a trainer, including delivering safeguarding training for The FA in Oxfordshire. 

On his appointment, Graham said;“I am delighted to be joining Berks & Bucks FA - I'm really looking forward to working with and supporting the Club and League welfare officers across the region. I’ll be doing everything I can to ensure that young footballers and adults in risk in football can enjoy the game in a fun, safe and inclusive way. There are great people involved in the welfare and safeguarding side of football and I can't wait to start working together with them”

In his role, Graham is responsible for working with our members to effectively safeguard children and vulnerable adults across the County FA. In addition to embedding safeguarding across all the County FA's operations, he will work with our Clubs and Leagues on a daily basis to ensure volunteers have the appropriate background checks, training and support to ensure football remains a safe and enjoyable environment For All.
