Teams earn places in the FA National Futsal Finals

The popularity of Futsal within youth football is growing and more and more teams are taking up the sport over their winter breaks to aid with player development and improve their technical skills.

As a result of this increase in participation, the FA has introduced national youth competitions for boys and girls. We are also pleased to launch our own County Futsal cups this season for boys and girls which will be taking part in the next couple of months.

To feed into both of these competitions, we held our first U14 girls regional event last Saturday at Milton Keynes College, with the help from young leaders from the MK College Leadership Academy.

It was a great event all round which saw seven local girls teams taking part from around the Bucks area. The final saw Wing Raiders up against Willen and it was a close finish right until the end with the final score ending 0-0. The game then went straight to penalties, with Willen coming out 2-1 on top and securing a place in the FA’s national finals later this year.

Both teams have also secured a place in our Berks & Bucks FA County Futsal Cup

Well done to all the teams involved!
