Twenty One For '21

Candidates Confirmed

Our participants for the '21 for 21' project have been selected.

We are extremely pleased to confirm our 21 females taking part in the project.

The project looks to support 21 females on and off the field until 2021 through funding and mentor support. In addition to this it also links into the Womens Euros as Milton Keynes is a host city with games taking place at Stadium MK in the summer for 2021.

Applicants were marked against the FA’s key PRIDE values: Passion, Respect, Inspiration, Determination and Excellence. Each candidate has been marked highly in each of these areas and deemed to be a perfect candidate by the panel made up of Youth Council, IAG and CFA staff members.

Two of the main reasons which effect participation are financial support and development opportunities. We wanted to create a project which had a rounded support package to help sustain their participation and support development over two seasons. Long-term this project will also help provide Milton Keynes with some inspirational role models and provide the local community with a legacy following the competition.

Womens & Girls Development Officer, Ellen Hopkins is looking forward to the next chapter in this exciting journey: “It’s been an inspirational summer for Women’s Football so to now have a project where we can follow and support 21 local females is extremely exciting. I can’t wait for this to get started and to support them towards achieving some great things over the next two seasons.”
