BBFA Online Surgery (Free)

The BBFA Online Surgery CPD offers the opportunity for Grassroots Coaches across Berks & Bucks to ask questions and receive guidance from FA Deliverers to aid their continued development as a coach and to support the development of their players.

Introduction to delivering a session (Free)

This face-to-face practical workshop compliments the FA Introduction to Coaching Football course and is ideal for beginners/new coaches who want to build confidence in planning and delivering sessions to create safe, fun and enjoyable environments or for those wishing to run a team.

Integrating the Goalkeeper into your sessions

The workshop explores and displays methods to involve the goalkeeper within whole team sessions, to achieve specific outcomes linked to the game. This will be done by the identification of key coaching points, and technical knowledge, alongside the adaptation of practice design.

Session Outcomes:

To provide awareness of the technical knowledge and coaching points that can be provided to develop goalkeepers as part of a wider session

To provide awareness of the importance of exposure to outfield practices in the development of distribution and ball mastery

To provide awareness of how sessions can be adapted to increase activity and influence action of the Goalkeeper

Times: 6:15pm-7:30pm-This session will be specifically linked to the foundation phase and the requirements of the game at 5v5 and 7v7.

             7:45pm-9pm- This session will be specifically linked to the youth and professional development phase and the requirements of the game at 9v9 and 11v11.

Format: Practical 

Venue: Wycombe (Venue TBC)

Cost: £5 to attend x1 session or £10 to attend both

Host: Alex Pratt (Goalkeeping Coach at Future Goalkeeper)


The workshop is a registered FA CPD event and will provide 2 accredited hours of CPD 

Creating a positive environment

Date: Thursday 28th September 2023 

Time: 7:30pm-9pm  

Format: Online (Microsoft Teams)     

Cost: FREE

Host: Mitch Woodward 


This workshop is for all coaches and will give examples of how coaches can create an environment where players will feel welcome, comfortable, happy and to be able to express themselves without a fear of failure regardless of their level of football experience. We will look at how we can challenge all the players in the group appropriately to ensure they stay engaged within a safe, fun and engaging environment.
