Our Staff
The Football Development Team's role, led by Jon Wood our Head of Delivery, is to support the growth and retention of teams in the game and to develop new innovative forms of the football in the region.
Our Football Services Team, led by Alastair Kay our Head of Governance, manages discipline and supports clubs to run the game effectively. Within Football Services, our Safeguarding work is led by our Designated Safeguarding Officer who is responsible for leading and developing safeguarding, welfare and The FA's RESPECT programme to make our game as safe as possible.

Football Development Team
Head of Delivery
Leads the development department to successfully deliver the FA’s National Game Strategy locally. Also responsible for supporting investment and facility projects across the area.

Football Participation Manager (Facilities Lead)
Responsible for improving and increasing the quality of grass pitches and supporting clubs and organisations with the development of 3G Artificial Grass Pitches and other capital projects. Also responsible for managing the Football Participation Team.

Women & Girls Football lead responsible for supporting & sustaining female football provisions across the county, including league support & the Wildcats programme. Additional responsibilities included overseeing all recreational/non-traditional formats of football including: Just Play, Small-sided, Flexi, Walking Football.

Football Development Officer
Responsible for supporting and growing disability provision across the county by ensuring clubs and leagues are both inclusive and accessible. Additional responsibilities include supporting the review and development of adult male football, including the local offer for veterans’ football. Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer.

Responsible for inspiring and developing participation in communities who face barriers to participation to showcase the value sport can have to tackle societal concerns across Berkshire & Buckinghamshire.

Football Workforce Manager
Responsible for Coach Development including providing a comprehensive CPD programme for coaches to participate. Responsible for supporting and sustaining Youth football in the County, Youth Leadership including Youth Council and the ongoing development of Futsal.

Responsible for the delivery of Referee Courses and post course support. Also responsible for activating support structures to help Referee Retention. To ensure all learners have a positive experience and the environment is fully inclusive in line with the FA National Referee Strategy.

Head of Governance
Provide leadership to the Football Services team overseeing the governance of the game, including the annual registration and affiliation of clubs, leagues and officials, the management of County Cup competitions and Representative Squads, and the ongoing application of disciplinary and Safeguarding procedures.

Club Support Officer
Responsible for building relationships with clubs, providing support with all administrative aspects of running a club and the use of FA Technology and Systems. Responsible for affiliation, England Football Accreditation, player registration, volunteer support, grant applications and more. Also providing administration support for FA Programmes such as Wildcats and Squad.

Responsible for monitoring safeguarding compliance across the grassroots volunteer network and working with members to resolve non-compliance. Maintains and updates records relating to on-field discipline. Deputy Designated Safeguarding Officer.
