Our Staff
The Football Development Team's role, led by Jon Wood our Head of Delivery, is to support the growth and retention of teams in the game and to develop new innovative forms of the football in the region.
Our Football Services Team, led by Alastair Kay our Head of Governance, manages discipline and supports clubs to run the game effectively. Within Football Services, our Safeguarding work is led by our Designated Safeguarding Officer who is responsible for leading and developing safeguarding, welfare and The FA's RESPECT programme to make our game as safe as possible.

Football Participation Manager (Facilities Lead)
Responsible for improving and increasing the quality of grass pitches and supporting clubs and organisations with the development of 3G Artificial Grass Pitches and other capital projects. Also responsible for managing the Football Participation Team.

Football Development Officer (Women's & Girls')
Responsible for creating and maintaining an inclusive female player pathway through education, recreation, competition and talent to support growth. Also accountable for increasing female recreational football participation via non-traditional formats of football (eg. Walking Football & Small-Sided Games).

Football Development Officer (Disability & Adult Recreational Football)
Responsible for retaining and growing the number of disability football participants and teams within England Accredited clubs focussing on developing the number of disability-specific coaches to support delivery and ensuring clubs & leagues are inclusive & accessible. Additional responsibilities include overseeing all recreational/non-traditional formats including Just Play, Small-Sided, Flexi, and Walking Football.

Responsible for developing and monitoring thriving, inclusive and sustainable clubs as well as growing and developing a valued network of volunteers across the grassroots game. Lead for England Football Accreditation, with additional responsibilities include supporting the transition from Youth to Adult participation and adult male and veterans football.

Responsible for Coach Development including providing a comprehensive CPD programme for coaches to participate. Responsible for supporting and sustaining Youth football in the County, Youth Leadership including Youth Council and the ongoing development of Futsal.

Provide leadership to the Football Services Team overseeing the governance of the game, including the annual registration and affiliation of clubs, leagues and officials, the management of County Cup competitions and Representative Squads, and the ongoing application of disciplinary and Safeguarding procedures.
