Girls Introductory Festivals

U8s & U10s Festivals return this October

We are pleased to confirm the return of the popular introductory festivals for U8 & U10 girls in Slough and the newly launched provision in Milton Keynes.

The Festivals, taking place on a monthly basis aim to give girls a place to come together at a central venue; play football and experience matches for the first time – all whilst having fun!

The Festivals will take place in Slough as well as Milton Keynes and target new teams or Wildcats centres looking to provide players with their first experience of competitive football. Results aren’t recorded with the aim to focus on development and provide girls with a positive first experience prior to joining a competitive league.

Womens & Girls Development Officer Ellen Hopkins is keen to build on last season’s success: “The Festivals in Slough were a great success and helped provide the perfect environment to develop new players and teams. By introducing a provision in Milton Keynes, we can also look to feed new teams into either the Berkshire or Bucks girls league, so there is a clear pathway for girls teams in both regions.”
