With the new season fast approaching we're busy preparing for another successful year of representative football - starting with open trials!

The U16 and U18 representative team open trials are being held at the end of July as we look for players to join us for the new season.

Open Trial Details

Date: Sunday 28th July 2019
Time: Under 16 – 12-2pm (registration 11.30am)
Under 18 – 2-4pm (registration 1.30pm)
Venue: Bracknell Town FC, Larges Lane, Bracknell, RG12 9AN
Eligibility: Players must be registered for a Berks & Bucks FA affiliated team or, live in Berkshire or Buckinghamshire.

The representative teams are made up of the best young players in the county (that are not part of professional academies) and act as a chance for young footballers not under professional contracts to test and showcase their abilities on a national stage.

Berks & Bucks FA run two representative teams, Under 18 boys and Under 16 boys and both teams compete in the South & West Counties Championship playing against County teams from all across the South and South West of England.

Recent Successes

In 2017-18, the Under 16’s were Champions of their Division, and the Under 18’s made the Semi-Finals of the FA County Youth Cup; the first time in over 50 years that a team from Berks & Bucks FA had progressed this far in the competition.

Last season, our U18 won their division of the South & West Counties Championship and progressed through to the Quarter Finals of The FA County Youth Cup, losing out to the eventual winners, Manchester FA. Our U16s also did very well in their league finishing second overall to Dorset FA.

Five members of our representative teams across both age groups last year received trials at professional clubs after being scouted, with one going on to represent England School Boys with the English Schools' FA.
