Womens Recreational Festival a success

Social football festival for women thrives

Berks and Bucks FA ran a Women’s recreational festival at Chalfont St Peter AFC on Wednesday night, 7 teams with a variety of ages and experience joined in a round robin tournament.

Some ladies attending had played previously and were keen to socialise and keep fit, others were mums who had always wanted to try football but never had the opportunity, some younger players wanted a platform to give them the confidence to join a ladies football club.

All in all the feedback was excellent. Spencer’s wood attended and commented; "We come out of this evening festival buzzing! It was very nicely ran and organised. The spirits were high, atmosphere was friendly and the right balance of recreational and competitive…Thank you so much for the great initiative!"

BBFA would like to support more recreational female sessions up and running and are keen to hear from any clubs, organisations or individuals who would like to set up a social session. If this is of interest to you please contact Development@Berks-BucksFA.com
