David Goodwin, Wokingham & Emmbrook ran a CPD event recently:
"We welcomed Danny Fenner and Lawrence Lok from the BBFA to Wokingham and Emmbrook FC for an in-house CPD session on Wednesday 16th March 2016.

After 30 mins of classroom-based discussion around the topic of attacking play, 14 of our under 11 age-group arrived and the focus switched to the floodlit area outside the clubhouse. The players were immediately thrust into arrival activities linked to the session theme and to warm up in the low temperatures. Over the next hour the group played a number of conditioned games to work on the topic, including one with the goals moved onto the edge of the penalty areas...but turned around! After some initial head-scratching the players quickly solved the problem and looked to move the ball wide quickly to get around the back. Throughout this session Danny, the lead coach, could be heard via a mic and Lawrence added further detail for the observing coaches.

A half hour debrief and Q&A followed, and sixteen Wokingham and Emmbrook coaches went away engaged and with new ideas, plus two hours of CPD towards their Licenced Coaches Club renewal. I would like to thank Danny and Lawrence for their time, and Ashley's support in organising, and following great feedback from attendees look forward to welcoming them back to Wokingham & Emmbrook in the future."
