Aspiring female coaches across Berks & Bucks are invited to join us for our first Stepping Over the Sidelines workshop of the season which supports the first step into coaching.

Forming part of our Stepping Over the Sidelines initiative, these FREE workshops are for females aged 18 or over that are literally looking to take a first step into coaching, and provide understanding of training on offer and existing skills that can be transferred to coaching.

 

Details of the events are as follows:

• Session 1 – Stepping Over the Sideline –Thursday 17th October 2024
• Session 2 – Stepping Onto the Grass – November (TBC)

Times for both events –7pm-9pm

Location –Wallingford & Crowmarsh FC, Wallingford Sports Park, Hithercroft Road, Wallingford, OX10 9RB

Both events will combine classroom and practical learning.

 

These workshops aim to break down some of the practical barriers that may exist, such as ‘I don’t have any playing or coaching experience’, or ‘I don’t know the rules’, as well as identifying skills you may already have that are applicable to coaching football.

The practical aspect of the workshop is designed to showcase what coaching looks and feels like on the pitch, ensuring that you leave feeling comfortable and confident to get involved with a session.

The workshops will also provide a flavour of what you could explore next, including the online EE Playmaker Course by England Football, which is completely free to take, and much more.
