Welcome, Bobbi!
We are delighted to welcome Bobbi Francis to the Berks & Bucks FA team.
Bobbi joins the organisation in a brand-new role as Football Behaviour & Impact Officer and will work closely with our member clubs, leagues and volunteers to positively impact on the behaviour of players, officials and spectators in grassroots football.
Growing up as a passionate Arsenal supporter, Bobbi enjoys following both men’s and women’s teams and attending matches whenever possible. Her favourite footballing memory was attending the Women’s Euros Final in 2022 when Chloe Kelly scored the winning goal in the 110th minute. Bobbi’s own playing journey began with Watford FC, where she played until the age of 14. Bobbi is still heavily involved in sport through playing and coaching netball at the weekends.
Bobbi pursued a degree in Physical Education at the University of Brighton, graduating in 2021. For over nine years, Bobbi worked in childcare, gaining invaluable experience in shaping young minds. Additionally, she has dedicated three years to teaching PE, blending her love for sports with education and inspiring the next generation to stay active.
She is excited to join Berks & Bucks FA as the Football Behaviour and Impact Officer and is passionate about making a difference within the grassroots football community and promoting positive behaviour across all levels of the game.
On her appointment, Bobbi said: “I am lucky enough to be joining such a great team at the Berks & Bucks FA and to be in a position where I can contribute to the development and wellbeing of the football community is an honour. I look forward to working with clubs to help create supportive environments for everyone involved in the game and ensuring that football continues to be a positive force in our communities.”
In her role, Bobbi will lead on the development and delivery of a range of interventions to promote positive behaviour across our member clubs and leagues, including media campaigns and face-to-face workshops.
