For season 2017/18 the affiliation window will open on 17th April for clubs who have a team at Steps 1-7 and May 1st for all other clubs. The process takes on average no longer than 15 minutes, and is completed online via the Whole Game System.

Each year, club secretaries/nominated individuals will be responsible for ensuring their club is affiliated to Berks & Bucks FA. For U18 Teams and Below

  • All clubs with youth teams (U18 and below) MUST have a Club Welfare Officer (CWO), in order to affiliate.
  • From the 2015/16 season EVERY youth team MUST have a Criminal Record Check (CRC) registered Coach/Manager.
  • For the 2017/18 season it is a requirement that all youth teams are covered by a personal accident insurance policy.
  • The club secretary, chairman and welfare officer must also complete the FA Safeguarding for Committee Members online course. This can be accessed here

Please Remember: The CWO must have either an accepted enhanced CRC check or as a minimum have submitted their CRC paperwork to The FA CRC Unit, so that the check is in progress.  They MUST also have completed The FA Safeguarding Children Workshop and also have attended a Welfare Officer Workshop (WOW).
