Project 500

Project 500 is a new campaign to address the imbalance in the number of male to female coaches, creating a more diverse workforce, to drive the growth of female participation in sport.

The project was launched on International Women’s Day (8 March 2013), in recognition of the increasingly powerful role that women have played and continue to play, in society across the globe.

Berks & Bucks FA aim to use Project 500 in conjunction with our extensive coach education programme and networks, to help build and grow a workforce, which better reflects the demographics of our local communities.

We aim to engage these local communities in sport and physical activity and in turn jump-start the creation of a women's coaching network in the UK.

There will be TWO Project 500 forums taking place across the county:

Berkshire Forum: Thursday 24th September 2015 – 19:00-21:00 at Reading FC, Madjeski Stadium

Buckinghamshire Forum: Thursday 15th October 2015 – 19:00-21:00 at Bucks New Uni, High Wycombe

Both forums will consist of the following information:

(Run by Get Berkshire Active at Berkshire Forum & Run by LEAP at Buckinghamshire Forum)
