Does your Grass Pitch need a SPA?

Introducing our Support Pitch Advisor (SPA), Bradley Tennant.
We are delighted to introduce our new Support Pitch Advisor (SPA), Bradley Tennant.

The role of an SPA is to act as an additional support branch between the Grounds Management Association (GMA) and our affiliated clubs.

Brad will be heading out to your grass pitches to complete PitchPower assessments and will be on hand to provide further advice to clubs seeking additional support following receipt of their assessment report.

PitchPower is a free and revolutionary web-based app to help clubs inspect and improve their grass pitches.

Pitch inspections are completing by using a mobile phone or tablet. The data is then sent to the experts at the Grounds Management Association (GMA), who will produce an assessment report within 21 days, with a Performance Quality Standard score and bespoke recommendations on how to enhance or sustain the quality of your grass pitches.

Completing a PitchPower assessment will then enable clubs to apply for Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund which has been designed to provide clubs, leagues and organisations with a tapered six-year grant to help them sustain pitches already at a 'good' level and enhance pitches that are either considered 'poor' or 'basic'.

In addition, we will be hosting Grounds Maintenance workshops and webinars with the GMA throughout the year, to support our grounds team and Brad will be contributing his expertise to the sessions.

Brad has a wealth of experience when it comes to grounds maintenance and certainly knows his stuff when it comes to grass pitches!
