Inter Faith Week 2021

Celebrating diversity and commonality in football

Inter Faith Week 2021
Inter Faith Week 2021 will take place from Sunday 14 - Sunday 21 November.

Timed to begin each year on Remembrance Sunday, Inter Faith Week aims to encourage people to remember together the service of people of all faiths and none, and to think about peace.

Inter Faith Week is an opportunity to celebrate diversity and commonality, highlight the positive contribution of faith communities to society, and to increase understanding between people of religious and non-religious beliefs.

Inter Faith Week has three aims. They are:

1. Strengthening good inter faith relations at all levels
2. Increasing awareness of the different and distinct faith communities in the UK, in particular celebrating and building on the contribution which their members make to their neighbourhoods and to wider society
3. Increasing understanding between people of religious and non-religious beliefs

Sport is a good way to bring people of different faiths and beliefs together, fostering community cohesion and mutual respect between people of different faiths.

To mark the week, throughout the remainder of November we will be looking to share members’ stories on how their faith and football combine as a way to celebrate diversity and commonality across the game.

If you would like to participate and share your story of how your faith and football combine, please complete this short online form and a member of the team will get back to you.
