BAME Coaches Conference as part of Black History Month

"Believe it, Achieve it" Conference at Crystal Palace FC

Crystal Palace FC, the FA Mentoring programme, PFA and Union Learning are organising a BAME coaches conference called “Believe it, Achieve it” at Selhurst Park on the 18th October 6.00pm - 10.00pm as part of Black History Month.

The conference will be attended by coaches (with various levels of qualifications) and those aspiring to become coaches across the South East.

There will be a panel that will include Kevin Betsy (England U16s coach), Paul Nevin (1st team coach at Brighton FC), Darren Powell (Academy coach at Crystal Palace) and Chris Ramsey (QPR Head of Academy) who will share their journeys in the game to inspire coaches.

Attendees we be required to attend two of the possible five workshops being delivered on the evening. They are:


8.00pm: Workshop 1 options:


a) interviews, CV and jobs in football

b) ECAS Premier League Coach programme

c) FA Mentoring programme

d) working in a Foundation or Community programme

e) How to become an Academy Coach


8.45pm: Workshop 2 options - same as above
