Berks & Bucks Football Association is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of Football Development Officer (Workforce) in support of delivery of the National Game Strategy in partnership with key stakeholders within Berks & Bucks, the successful candidate will work from our highly regarded headquarters in Abingdon

The position will report to the Head of Delivery and is a fixed term contract from the 1st April 2018 to the 30th June 2019. 

Berks & Bucks County FA is the Governing Body for football and leads the implementation of The FA National Game Strategy in the County. We are one of the largest County FA’s in the Country, serving in excess of 3,350 football teams and are about to embark on our 3rd year of the National Game Strategy leading us until 2019. 

Specific areas of work will include: 
1. Strategically lead the annual programme of safeguarding, refereeing, medical, coaching and other football related education courses to best serve our volunteer workforce.
2. To work with clubs to assist in implementing volunteer development plans and support the needs of the coaches/volunteers needs
3. Act in the best interest of children and young people and be guided by the principle that the welfare of the child or young person is paramount in all decisions and actions taken.

The successful candidate will be passionate and committed to developing grassroots football within Berks & Bucks and have an understanding of the structure & development pathways at a local, regional and national level. We require an individual who can work as part of a team whilst managing an individual workload and priorities. This post requires a professional and highly organised person with a track record of budget management and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously with various deadlines, ideally within a football environment. 

Applicants must hold a full driving license and have access to own vehicle.
