Womens Rec League 2018

Festival crowns winners of Autumn League

The winners of the BBFA Women's Autumn Recreational League were crowned at end of season festival.

As the temperatures dropped, we wrapped our BBFA Women’s Autumn Recreational League with a festival supporting Stonewalls Rainbow laces campaign.

BBFA Autumn League Winners RAF Ladies were crowned Champions of the 8 week league. However, they were unavailable to play in the finale festival so this gave the opportunity for the best of the rest and some new womens’ recreational teams to join in and get involved.

Generation Chesham came in with Bucks New Uni and The University of Buckingham. The games were played in the correct spirit and were eagerly contested by all. The fitness levels of the ladies were tested as the quick fire games kept everyone on their toes. Aylesbury Social were unbeaten front-runners, but Generation Chesham pinched victory as the Final went to penalties and Chesham’s keeper proved impossible to beat.

A massive thank you to all the ladies who took part each week and to Peter Gibbins for officiating every week.
