On Sunday 23rd April Langley Galaxy take on BT Coatings in the Sunday Junior Cup Final at Chesham United. Both squads are looking forward to this final and this is what they had to say.
Scott Bright, Langley Galaxy manager; We began this season as a new side, expectations were to take things one game at a time and gel as a team. As the season went on, we began to build momentum and the dedication and quality shown by the side was phenomenal. Along with the fantastic organisation and support from Wendy, Phil and club treasurer Lynn Broadhurst and boosted by the great support shown week in and week out by those who have come to cheer on the boys, we find ourselves in three cup finals and challenging for the league title.
This competition has thrown us some difficult opposition in each round but the fantastic attitude and fight shown by every member of the squad is what has got us here today. Our two greatest moments in this cup so far, would be the dramatic comeback after being 2-0 to Xtreme FC with ten minutes to go and the 5-2 win over Polonia Reading who were a superb footballing side.
The atmosphere in the dressing room is fantastic and the lads are looking to put in one last 90mins to try and take home the trophy.
Lewis Clark, BT Coatings; BT Coatings FC are delighted to be in the final, we have a strong squad available and should have a good chance of winning.
We know our opponents are in good form and we will have to be on it from the first minute.
I think we are the highest scoring team in the competition so I'm expecting a high scoring game. Should be a good game for the fans.
Both teams seem to be in goal scoring form so we hope this final producing a good spectacle for all spectators. The Berks and Bucks would like to wish both teams and the match officials the best of luck for the final. For a full schedule of Cup Final fixtures please click here
