There are only two county F.A.s in England that span two counties.
Founded in 1878, we are one of the oldest county football associations. Confusion is sometimes remarked on that we seem to have a large area that is in fact Oxfordshire. However, football decided that they would stay with the county boundaries as prior to the changes passed by parliament in 1974. That's why our county office is situated in Faringdon, which is midway between Oxford and Swindon on the A420.
Currently there are 39 Life Members, Elected Members and Co-opted Members making up the full council. 7 geographical divisions can each send 3 elected members who serve for a 3 year term. Details can be found on the Council page from our Home page.
