Community Football Coach vacancy - Berks & Bucks County Football Association (in partnership with Reading FC ‘FitC’, Reading Borough Council, Slough Borough Council and Wexham School) 37.5 hours per week Salary £18,500 (subject to funding)

A new and exciting role has arisen for a Community Football Coach in Berkshire. Employed by The Berks & Bucks County Football Association and based within the ‘Football in the Community’ Department at Reading FC, the role is aimed at delivering a range of activities across Berkshire (with specific focuses within Slough & Reading).
Responsible for delivering football based education programmes in schools, supporting the development of clubs within Berkshire, promoting the charter standard award, enhancing the school football competition structure and delivering football for hard to reach groups in Slough & Reading in addition to mentoring club coaches across the County you will be an experienced coach with a minimum of an FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate qualification (Level 3 preferred).
Essential qualities include a minimum of 3 to 5 years experience of sports coaching; establishing, delivering and co-ordinating coaching programmes for young people, experience of coaching in a wide range of environments including schools, club and community settings and of developing school/club links.
You will be expected to hold a current First Aid qualification, a full clean UK driving licence and the use of your own car and be able to demonstrate the ability to inspire, motivate and encourage young people through sport.

This post will be employed as part of the DCMS/Sport England Community Sports Coach Scheme (CSCS). CSCS aims to establish 3000 paid professional coaches nationwide to work at local level to increase the number and range of high quality coaching opportunities for young people.
