Grebe 1-0 Jolly Gardener

Final played at Chesham United FC  on Sunday 17 April 2005.

After losing last year’s final in extra time, Jolly Gardener were hoping for second time lucky. Unfortunately although they created an equal number of chances, Grebe’s goal after nine minutes settled the match.
Grebe started strongly and after creating several chances went ahead  when Neil Cardwell chased a through ball and drove it home. Jolly Gardener tried to get back into the match but were unable to create any clear chances.
In the second half playing down the slope, Jolly Gardener started to take control, but good defending by the Grebe kept them at bay. After 35 minutes, Jolly Gardener had their best chance when a Paul Jaggers header from a free-kick hit the post. After this some excellent saves by the Grebe goalkeeper Simon Russell protected the Grebe’s lead and they ran out worthy winners.
