Saturday Junior Cup 2004 2005

PB (Milton Keynes) 5-0 Shrivenham Reserves

Played at Thatcham Town FC on Saturday 16 April 2005.

After a penalty miss by Shrivenham when they were 1-0 down, their was only going to be one winner, with PB(Milton Keynes) winning 5-0, and Kevin Millington scoring four of the goals.
PB started strongly against a young Shrivenham team and nearly went ahead in the third minute when after good play the PB's, Martin King shot just skimmed the bar.However, they soon went ahead when after six minutes a ball was played into the box and a soft shot by Martin King crept under the goalkeeper’s body. PB created further chances, but Shrivenham crept back into the game, and had a chance to level after 30 minutes when Nick Lane handled in the box. Daniel Prescott stepped up to take the kick and blasted it over the bar. From the restart, PB went down the other end and scored when Kevin Millington drove home a cross from the left. Within two minutes they went further ahead, when Kevin Millington chased a through ball and slipped it passed the keeper.

HALF TIME

After the interval within six minutes, PB went further ahead when a cross from Martin King, hit the body of Kevin Millington and nestled in the net. After 60 minutes PB made it 5-0 when good work by Terry Markey on the right, he put in a cross which was touched home by Kevin Millington.
This was basically game over, and although Shrivenham tried to gain a consolation goal the ball didn’t really run for them.
