BEACONSFIELD SYCOB 4 v 0 BUCKINGHAM ATHLETIC

The Final of this seasonxs competition was played on the superb ground of the Didcot Town Football Club in front of small, but average crowd, with the ground as normal being in excellent condition.

The Beaconsfield side soon settled into their stride and were looking the more confident of the two teams in the opening exchanges. An early error by the nervous Buckingham defence led to the Beaconsfield side scoring an early goal. It was not long before the lead was increased and with the Beaconsfield midfield dominating the game the Buckingham defence was under constant pressure. As the game progressed the Buckingham Athletic team started to settle but failed to make the best of the opportunities that came their way. The second half of the game was very much the same as the first half, with the Beaconsfield SYCOB team scoring two more goals to win the final tie. The Buckingham Athletic team stuck to their task well, but on the day were beaten by the superior Beaconsfield SYCOB side.
