This new approach will improve the consistency of sanctions throughout all levels of the game across the Country and ensure suspensions that are imposed on players are fair and in proportion to the offence they have been charged with.
Standard charges (i.e. sending off offences) will result in a suspension from the type of football you were playing only. So if you get sent off playing for a Saturday team, you will only be suspended from Saturday football. Likewise if you get sent off on a Sunday, you will only be suspended from Sunday football and if you get sent off playing Veterans football then you will only be suspended from Veterans football.
There is no longer an automatic right of appeal to sending off offences.

If you receive a Misconduct charge (case number ending in M) these do not carry set suspensions. These type of cases are heard by a Discipline Commission who decide on appropriate suspensions and/or fine.
