FA Club Mentoring programme

Berks & Bucks FA are please to announce they have 6 County mentors appointed to them from the FA, who are each able to deliver 50 hours of mentoring to 12 selected Charter Standard Development or Community Clubs.

Berks & Bucks are looking for clubs that are keen to develop a positive coaching ethos, philosophy and develop their own in house mentoring / coach support system. Clubs who utilise this opportunity will be able to start a legacy of a positive coaching within their club. We want clubs who can continue to support the FA Future Game Focus once the FA Club Mentor has moved on.

December 1st 2016 sees the launch of our Mentoring brochure, which gives an insight into the support on offer to coaches within Berks, Bucks and Oxon from a variety of sources. The brochure includes FA Programmes such as FA Coach Mentoring accessible to Charter Standard Development and Community Clubs. 

The FA Skills team work out of designated districts around the counties, they will support players aged 5-11years at their developments centres, and provide support and CPD for coaches Charter Standard Club coaches.

The brochure provides information on young leaders opportunities, the new FA Coaching pathway, England DNA, FA Licensed coaches club and Funding opportunities.

FA Coach Mentoring
The FA Coach Mentoring scheme gives access to 50 hours free coach mentoring to Charter Status Development Clubs or Community status clubs. To submit an expression of interest please complete the form at bottom of the page.

How does the Programme roll out?
The scheme is very flexible, our FA Club Mentors will take the opportunity to work with 2 or more coaches within a club, these coaches should influence/take their clubs coaching forward in future seasons.

What ill we be Delivering?
Practical sessions, with you and your players to demonstrate ideas for sessions, management/structure of sessions, match day management, good practice, coaching styles & FA’s Future Game Philosophy, There will also be feedback and personal coach development support. *Please be advised that we won’t be delivering sessions to your players without your coaches present.
